About me

I became a therapist in 2019. I studied at the University of South Carolina for my undergraduate studies, majoring in psychology. My master’s degree is in Counseling Education with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. For the last 6 years, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families. The purpose of therapy is to provide a supportive and collaborative space for growth, healing, and self-understanding. My goal is to help clients develop greater emotional awareness, strengthen relationships, and foster a deeper sense of authenticity and balance within themselves and others. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Theory, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These approaches focus on understanding emotional experiences, identifying underlying needs, and exploring how past and present relationships influence current patterns of behavior and connection. Sessions are designed to help clients move from reactivity or self-criticism toward emotional regulation, self-compassion, and healthy communication. In individual therapy, the work centers on exploring emotions, inner parts, and relational patterns that shape one’s sense of self. The overall aim is to create lasting change through emotional insight, self-awareness, and relational healing.
