About me

Hi! Thank you for taking time to read my profile. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina and Arizona with eleven years of experience working with people making change in their life. I have worked with people challenged by depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and life changing situations. I followed my passion to assist people in thriving by obtaining a BA in social work at Lehman College in 2010 and a MSW in 2012 from Hunter College. I have worked in several clinical settings including nonprofits, schools, and community settings. I have experience working with individuals (adults and children) struggling with negative self-talk, low self-esteem, depression, OCD, LGBT, mood instability, challenging irrational beliefs, anxiety, history of trauma, PTSD and identity development. I have received specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Behavior modification, DBT principal, narrative therapy, strength base therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution focus. When working with clients I strive to make the therapy experience genuine, positive, respectful, and safe. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in doing great things and overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! I am excited to meet you and work together to identify your goals and make plans to achieve them!
