About me

I am a licensed professional clinical counselor and a life and performance coach. I am best known for my versatility in working with couples, life coaching individuals, and performance coaching with athletes and executives (and a warm and approachable demeanor). As a counselor, I advocate that understanding ourselves and our relationships better is not just for those in crisis. I believe counseling can help everyone be their most elite selves. I adapt the skills elite athletes use for everyday life. I help folks understand how they came to be where they are and how to bridge the gap to where they would like to be. For couples, I offer pathways to letting triggers become teachers. I unravel the mystery of calm communication through conflict, even infidelity, and a perspective that allows a much more profound understanding of what is really going on. I regularly work with: couples in crisis couples seeking pre-marital counseling individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and addictive behaviors across the lifespan folks navigating divorce, dating, and life transitions athletes experiencing performance anxiety, addictive behaviors or clinical issues, seeking next level performance, or returning from injury Coaches and parents of student athletes looking to provide next level support Parents seeking understanding and skills to best prepare their children for the slings and arrows of life and give them the ability to thrive; not to mention help their households find more peace and harmony Education, Experience, and Expertise: Master of Arts in clinical counseling from Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH Bachelor of Science in psychology and graduate studies in school psychology and advanced child development from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL Eight years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and athletes in private practice setting Two years of internship experience in addiction treatment at Brightview Health, Cincinnati, OH Clinical interests in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Imago Relationship Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Reality Discipline Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, and Solution Focused Therapy. Twelve years of experience in special education pre-k and early childhood development classrooms Six years as a competitive girls’ volleyball coach and student advocate Proud mother of two and grandmother to two fine, sweet grandsons.
