About me

I have been an LCSW for 28 years. My background is rich and varied. My passion and skill set is helping individuals not only gain insight into thoughts, feelings and behaviors but to help the individual learn to feel their unique worth and value. It’s one thing to understand what is contributing to ongoing negative feelings and behaviors but it’s another thing entirely to feel contentment and a true sense of worth. I’ve counseled both men and women around domestic violence issues, counseled families of chronically ill patients and more recently provided therapy to children and adolescents in a school setting. My preferred therapeutic modalities are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy based skills.
