About me

Do emotions feel foreign to you? Overwhelming? Were you taught to just ignore what you are feeling and power through to the next thing on your to-do list? I work with clients to embrace and understand all these things that they feel from day to day which then allows them to function at their full potential. Emotions don’t have to be intimidating or overwhelming, I would love to show you how they can become a source of strength. Hello, I’m Amy. I work to empower others to unlock their full potential and embrace emotions. With my clients I focus primarily on emotional acceptance, life-work balance, and stress management often with people who are at the point of burnout in their careers which bleeds into all areas of their lives. We will work to find healthy outlets and other solutions that will allow you to focus your energy in a more efficient way and set you up for satisfaction in all areas. My counseling style is more laid back, I want us to feel like we are just having a conversation while also developing new skills or processing through stress. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines many different modalities to assist you in achieving your goals. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and substance use addictions. I applaud you for taking the steps to grow and work through whatever struggles you may be facing and I hope we can go on that journey together. I look forward to working with you!
