Angela Murphy (LPC)

I’m licensed as a counselor (LPC) in Idaho and Arizona, with six years of therapy experience. My goal is to listen, come alongside, and empower women. I have been trained as a certified clinical trauma professional. In the past, I counseled diverse children with trauma, but for over two years now I have been focusing on women. In addition, I have knowledge of religious trauma. I also learned qualitative research in a doctoral certificate program. My own position as a woman, daughter, wife, and mother led me to research women and gender roles. Along with my women’s specialization, I bring insight to the complex roots of a client’s coping skills that have become dysfunctional. These often stem from cultural and family messaging, trauma and abuse. I support clients in developing new coping skills with self-compassion. I love to continue learning and growing. I use a person-centered and eclectic approach tailored to each unique individual. I’m here to help you build relational skills, including how to relate to your own inner self.
