About me

Hello and welcome! My name is Dr. Clarence (Chip) Chapman, and I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor. I’ve been privileged to work in the mental health field for over 11 years, supporting people in many different settings—ranging from inpatient and outpatient care to home-based and community support. Over the years, I’ve walked alongside individuals and families facing depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and relationship struggles. My approach is simple: you are the expert on your own life. Together, we’ll explore your strengths, clarify your goals, and create a plan that feels meaningful to you. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients notice how thoughts, feelings, and actions connect—especially when old patterns get in the way of living fully. Outside of the counseling room, I received my doctoral Ed.D. and I am focused on community and pastoral counseling. My faith plays an important role in my life, and I strive to live in a way that reflects my values. I also love being outdoors—whether it’s hiking, canoeing, camping, or simply looking up at the stars. My wife and I have four wonderful grown children and four pets who keep our lives joyful and busy. I look forward to meeting you and working together toward the version of yourself you want to become.
