Crystal Paredes (LPC)

I have been an independently licensed professional counselor since 2012. As an independently licensed professional counselor I offer support services to empower each person and/or family to fully function in society by assisting all people to reach their potential through a life-long learning process. The nature of my work permits me to perform a variety of care services including but not limited to: individual therapy, family therapies, couples therapy, long-term counseling services, crisis and short-term brief therapy, consultation, coaching and training. I use problem solving, goal-directed strategies to help persons resolve challenges in their lives. I also draw evidence based practices that are founded in the following (but not limited to) theories: Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Dialectical Behavioral Theory, solution-focused therapy, and play therapy. I am also trained as a mental health first aid trainer and verbal de-escalation trainer. I graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2005 with a B.A. in psychology. I completed my M.S. in mental health counseling from Walden University in 2010 and I am pursuing a PhD in Healthcare Administration.
