About me
Hello!
My name is Danica Bokal and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida with over 8 years experience in the mental health field. I have worked with individuals and families with many different needs and concerns. I have have specific experience working with individuals going through a life transition. This includes alcohol, drug, and other addictive behaviors; depression; anxiety; career changes; coping skills; identity; and trauma. I also am specifically sensitive to LGBTQ+, women’s empowerment, and men’s mental health specific needs.
I approach any of my clients as individuals and seek to learn what they are going through and use evidenced-based interventions towards their goals. My approach is specifically beneficial on this platform as I use a combination of psycho-education and psycho-therapy that my clients can do on their own and together throughout the week. I offer an authentic, empathetic, and warm approach that is also active and directive.
As a therapist, my goal is to encourage you towards a better you. I offer a safe, inviting, non-judgmental environment to help you in your personal growth.
