About me

ABOUT ME Hello – I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Pastoral Counselor in Massachusetts, who has been in the helping profession for over 26 years. My professional journey has taken a long and winding road. I have experience as a musician, a banker, a pastor, a mental health clinician, and a professor. I have worked in corporate America, community mental health, the faith-based community, and as an academician. This exposure has equipped me with a wide range of skills, training, and knowledge that prepared me to be a resource and support to help others in accomplishing their life goals and spiritual and mental wellness. To enhance the skills and knowledge that I have gained, my international travels and work with impoverished and disenfranchised individuals throughout the world. This exposure and the work that I continue to do with individuals and families in my community have contributed to my understanding of human suffering and helped to enhance my empathetic approach to counseling. My approach to therapy includes my tasteful use of humor to help lighten the burdens of stress and struggles. I firmly believe in the concept of self-efficacy. Most people possess within themselves the capacity for self-healing. The therapist’s role is to encourage and facilitate the process of self-actualization. Counseling is not just a profession for me. It is a joyful fulfillment of my purpose in life, and my quest to make a difference in the lives of my clients. I live by the axiom, “Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional.” I look forward to partnering with you on your journey to healing. Hear from you soon! Healthy regards, Dr. Glen T.
