About me

Hello and welcome! My name is Jackie Walz and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the State of Minnesota. I have been working in the field for over 10 years. I received my Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology from The University of North Dakota in 2006 as well as my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Social Work in 2009 & 2010, respectively. My style is warm, casual, inviting, and patient. Person-centeredness has been at the center of my education and career. Therefore, I start with where you are at and focus on what’s important to you. Much of my experience has been 1:1 with adults. I have a lot of experience working with the geriatric population as well as those that suffer from depression and anxiety. I come from a non-judgmental and empathetic place. If you are familiar with enneagrams, I am an enneagram type 2, meaning I’m empathetic, sincere, and warm-hearted. I have always taken on the role of a helper and enjoy walking and navigating through tough times with individuals. I also have been in a leadership position for much of my career, so I have a lot of experience in coaching and guiding within employee development. Reaching out can be very vulnerable. You are courageous for taking this first step and I look forward to working with you and helping you meet your goals!
