About me

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. If you have questions about anything you see here please feel free to contact me. My name is Jim Dailey. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Michigan. I have worked in the field of social work since 2009. My work has included conditions/topics such as: depression, anxiety, traumatic brain injury, aging, chronic illness, self esteem, coping with life changes, and grief & loss. I have worked with a diverse group of clients over the years. In my opinion, the best part about social work is the opportunity to build a therapeutic alliance with people of different backgrounds. I am excited about the possibility of working with you. I would describe my therapy style as supportive; judgment free. My peers have described me as having a calming presence. My clients have been comfortable opening up to me about life experiences. I offer a safe space to vent feelings of stress, anxiety, anger. My job is to reflect these feelings as you work through them. Silence is also welcomed during a session. Sometimes we need more time to collect our thoughts. We are living in times of uncertainty and we may feel completely different from one day to the next. I will meet you where you’re at. In terms of therapy types, I utilize: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Relaxation Therapy. My clients have reported feeling more at ease after doing relaxation exercises such as guided breathing/progressive muscle relaxation. I want you to know that I take confidentiality very seriously. I adhere to the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions about privacy or anything else related to web-based therapy. Thanks again
