About me

Hi there, I’m Jasmine! As a trained therapist and yoga instructor, I believe in treating the whole person, body, and mind. I work with a broad range of conditions, from anxiety and mood disorders to relationship issues and stress management. I also treat trauma-related and depressive conditions. I see clients aged 18-59 years old. My approach: My practice is informed by approaches in trauma, relational science, somatic, cognitive, experiential, and attachment-based psychodynamic models. Our sessions are structured, authentic, and grounded in science. My communication style: I aim to really get my clients; I balance leading and following as we begin to discover their passion and goals. I have a warm and compassionate style that meets clients where they are. My journey to mental healthcare: When I was 19 years old, I made a sign and hung it on my wall. It read, “One day, I will become a clinical social worker and change the world.” Here, my path of discovery began, as did my curiosity about what heals humans. Several years later, I was awarded the Mental Health Training Program stipend from the state of California. And this journey keeps going. I have counseled with group private practices, the Marine Corps, Family Health Centers of San Diego, CalWORKs, and Survivors of Torture International. Today, I am humbled and honored to offer care as a mental health therapist. My goals for you: We set goals together based on client preferences and needs. My first session with you: At our first appointment, I will ask clients several questions to get to know them and understand their needs. In the second appointment, we get oriented to therapy and continue to set goals and clarify needs. It usually takes up to three appointments to see if we will be a good fit and if I can help.
