About me

I started counseling after many life experiences, including nearly 20 years of public service in the military and State government. I went into the counseling field with a desire to help others based on my own past experiences. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have been a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor since 2014 and a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2022. My areas of specialization expanded from substance abuse to other areas, including anxiety, depression and trauma. I believe everyone is their own expert on how to change – sometimes we just need a different perspective. I take a holistic approach to supporting change. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but also integrate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, as well as talk therapy. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and doing anything related to “the great outdoors,” including hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and wind-therapy on my Harley.
