About me

Hello and welcome to betterhelp! I am a licensed mental health counselor in New York state with 8 years of experience as an inpatient behavioral health counselor and emergency room crisis counselor. Additionally, I’m licensed in South Carolina as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I’ve also worked with teens in a residential treatment facility focusing on trauma experiences. Additionally, I have over 30 years of experience working as a Behavior Specialist and am a Licensed Behavior Analyst in New York State. I have worked with people with a variety of concerns such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, and anger challenges. My counseling approach is predominately a cognitive-behavioral one. I believe in developing a good professional relationship based on mutual trust, respect, honesty, and compassion. Treatment will be based on your individual needs and with your input as I believe this is a critical aspect of counseling. Taking this first step to seek change is a courageous one!
