About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, and I have been practicing therapy for 8 years. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, grief, anger, abuse and trauma, OCD, ADHD, low self esteem, stress management, multicultural issues, racism, and adjusting to new life changes. I am also a parent and a pastor’s wife, and I have experience working with parenting struggles, spiritual concerns, and church problems. My therapy style is meant to encourage comfort, trust, motivation, and hope. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk with you towards where you want to be. I believe therapy should be goal oriented, but that each person has a different pace working towards those goals. I utilize approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and humanistic therapy. I try to adjust my approach to the needs and goals of each individual client. If a client desires, I am also trained and able to use a Biblically integrative approach to therapy. As a Christian, I see the importance of using a Biblical worldview that reminds us that we are all created in God’s image and with great dignity, but we all also experience the curse of sin in every aspect of our lives and the world around us. We feels the affects of betrayals, broken relationships, jealousy, pride, sickness, and pain. A faith-based approach to therapy that uses psychology but is also grounded in biblical truths allows us to see ourselves and our struggles on a deeper level, and also gives us hope and assurance that we are not abandoned and left to figure things out all on our own. Starting therapy is a courageous step towards getting unstuck and moving towards healing, restoration, and a life of joy. I would be honored to work with you along this journey!
