Without a doubt, life can throw us curveballs. It can be hard and confusing beyond imagination. It can also be joyous and good. I acknowledge and appreciate that we are unique and layered individuals, and that our experiences, perceptions, and challenges—and the ways we work through them—are rarely “one size fits all.” My approach to therapy is tailored to the unique individual and rooted in a strengths-based, person-in-environment perspective. I integrate client-centered humanistic approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic insight, and the transtheoretical model of change. If there is one message that I have, it’s that you are not broken. If you have gotten this far it demonstrates that you have done some introspection and have recognized that something in your life needs to change. Or maybe something is missing. This introspection alone is a strength and a great place to start.
