About me

Hi, I’m Tai-Anne. I am a licensed therapist, currently located in Baltimore, Maryland. I have been practicing therapy for seven years and have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University at Albany, SUNY and was previously a Rape Crisis Counselor. My focus is on trauma, anxiety and depression and I utilize strength-based, CBT and person-centered approaches to treatment. I enjoy working with diverse populations, including the LGBTQ+ community, parental challenges and African-American women. Therapy helps us to address concerns that created a significant stress or change in our lives. My way of counseling is to create a non-judgmental environment as I help clients challenge their negative thinking patterns, cope with current stressors and create action plans to address their concerns. I believe psychoeducation is important throughout the therapeutic process, as it can help to address these negative cognitive patterns through learning coping skills and building a tool kit of resources to tackle stressors now and apply them in the future. I believe that self-care is the most important thing we can do for ourselves, other than constantly expanding our knowledge. I am a big advocate for traveling and engaging in activities that bring us joy, allowing us to feel less stressed. If I seem like a great fit for you, I look forward to helping you through this growth period!
