Tamar Delevoe (LCSW)

I became a social worker because I like what social worker stands for. The social worker works with individuals, families, groups, and communities. Social workers work in an effort to meet the basic needs of an individual and enhance an individual social functioning, self-determination, optimal health, and overall well-being. I enjoy meeting people and am interested in listening to their stories. My work is rooted in helping each person reach their goals. Earning a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University alongside my master’s degree in Social Work from Florida International University I focus on addressing the needs of the community and individuals by providing therapeutic services. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my treatment approach is client-centered, strength-based, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also use solution-focused practices that compliment my motivational interviewing skills to drive positive results within my client base. I have experience working with individuals struggling with mental health disorders, low self-esteem, negative self-talk, and trauma. Every individual is unique and my approach caters to the needs of the individual and meeting them where they are. I believe in empowering and helping the individual become the better version of themselves. I am dedicated to improving the well-being of those that suffer from mental illnesses or are faced with life’s many and often perplexing hardships.
