About me

Greetings, I am a former educator and a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in the state of North Carolina with over ten years of professional experience. I hold two counseling degrees, a Master’s in Community Counseling and a Ph.D. in Advanced Studie in Human Behavior (Counseling). I have worked with clients in the prison setting, juvenile justice department, private practice, military facilities, and community-based agencies. I treated my former clients for concerns to include depression, anxiety, ODD, ADHD, and substance abuse. I have also worked with clients who experienced physical and emotional trauma. As a therapist, I believe in making my clients feel as comfortable as possible by building rapport through trust and mutual respect. I work very diligently to help make the therapeutic environment warm and inviting. My most used counseling approach is person-centered, as well as the implementation of cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy very often in my therapy sessions. The treatment plan will be adjusted based on your specific needs and if other approaches are required, we will plan accordingly. Your journey is your own, but it is always good to have someone there to help guide you through the rough patches. If you are willing to work on becoming an even better you, I am here to help. I look forward to helping you along your journey to success!
