About me

I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner from Nebraska. I have over 25 years of experience working with children and families in various capacities. I have been a therapist for 5 years working primarily with individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues. I have worked in a small private practice, residential facilities and in a corrections setting. The individuals, couples and families that I have worked with have had a wide range of concerns to include depression, anxiety, grief and loss, communication, parenting issues, addiction, difficulties with adjustment as will as those individuals with significant mental health issues. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with dignity and respect regardless of the issues. My style of counseling is solution focused. I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Based Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I will tailor my style of therapy to meet your specific needs. This is your therapy and you know yourself best. Reaching out for assistance, for some, takes a tremendous amount of courage. By reaching out, you have made yourself important! What a great step! I am here to support and empower you and I really look forward to working with you! Sincerely, Kim
