About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over five years of counseling experience in the state of North Carolina. For the past 10 years I have worked with the Military population aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. My services that I have offered include Individual Counseling, Couples Counseling, Group Therapy and Psychoeducation. My area of interest include Post Traumatic Stress, Communication and Trust issues in Marital and Couples, Grief, Anxiety, Depression and Suicidal Ideations. My therapy style is compassionate, collaborative and interactive. My approach can be described as Cognitive Behavioral Theory. I am trained in the following protocol therapies to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. I also have provide preventative services in the form of resiliency training to help clients build more coping skills to deal with stress professionally and personally. I am trained in evidence-based treatment for active duty service members and veterans. And I have offered Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy to couples of various representations. My approach can be described as holistic in services. I enjoy working with school-age children, adolescents, and adults. I am looking forward to meeting with you and accompanying you along your journey. I am aware that like meeting with any one new you have to become comfortable with opening up.
