About me

Hello! My name is Megan Bartz and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have over 10 years of experience working with individuals in outpatient and inpatient settings who are struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. I am passionate about treating individuals holistically and believe that the counseling relationship is one of the main vehicles for change as it provides a safe place for individuals to process and progress. I am person-centered and believe in not only being genuine with everyone I work with, but also treating you with unconditional positive regard. Ultimately, one of my main goals in treatment is to help individuals discover what gives them hope as I believe that hope is imperative in order for change to occur. I also draw from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy in order to help individuals discover how their thinking is affecting their emotions and their behaviors and then how to learn to think differently so that they may find a different outcome. Ultimately, I believe you are the expert on yourself and that it can also be helpful at times to have a fresh perspective to walk alongside you as you journey to a place of greater self-awareness. My main priority is listening to what your needs are and helping you find a way to make those a reality. I would love the opportunity to work with you, thank you!
